You are invited to take part in Postcards from Amerta
Postcards from Amerta is an artistic opportunity for those practising/inspired by Amerta Movement and the work of Suprapto Suryodarmo (Prapto). You are invited to participate in an imaginative, travelling art exhibition communicating and sharing experiences for Blossoming Blessing of Amerta in Europe, which will follow the course of Prapto's 2019 workshops in Europe.
You are invited to send a postcard to be included in Postcards from Amerta. You could draw, paint, collage, print, use a photograph or text to make a unique postcard, writing whatever you wish on the other side. Are you inspired by ‘your movement practice', ‘the moving body', ‘embodied life' or a theme of one of Prapto's summer workshops? If you are a workshop organiser you could send images relating to the workshop theme or poster and/or encourage participants to create images arising from workshop sessions.
Please send by post to: Helen Edwards, 45 Church Cowley Road, Oxford, OX4 3JR, UK or Jan Howarth, 524 Brown Street, Bishops Caundle, DT9 5NE, UK Or you can Email images (high resolution jpeg 200dpi) to [email protected] to be printed
Postcards are to be exhibited at Prapto's summer workshops creating conversation and offering exchange of images and ideas. The intention is to sell the postcards at an event later in the year to raise funds for Amerta Movement. We are unable to return your postcards and in sending them please note you are giving your permission for them to be sold, photographed and used digitally.
We look forward to receiving your postcards, one entry per person please.
Love from Helen Edwards, Jan Howarth and Keith Miller on behalf of the UK organisers
