8th - 13th July, 2018 ~ Stroud, Gloucestershire
This 6-day workshop with Prapto is a unique opportunity to explore the art of performance, and how performances from other sources can be informed and transformed by the Amerta approach. The workshop is designed for those who wish to develop their own artistic practice, whether you want to develop an existing performance or develop a performance during the week for presentation in the final days. We will be working outdoors in the beautiful local landscape and in halls and exhibition space in the centre of Stroud, which we will use for workshop sessions and for performances by workshop participants. The workshop is open to all and is for a maximum of 15 people. Prapto will teach for 5 hours each day, working with us in groups and individually. On Friday 13th July, there will be a open public workshop, participant performances and performances by Suprapto, Ibed and more. . Accommodation is provided in a large, comfortable and well-equipped house a few minutes’ drive from Stroud, which we have to ourselves for the week. It will be largely self-catering; most rooms will be shared by two people, and there is also space for camping in the attractive gardens.
The residential workshop fee is £515 with shared accommodation, £480 for a tent. For local participants from the Stroud area the non-residential fee is: £375. For further information, please contact: Sally E. Dean [email protected] or Karolina Nieduza [email protected] |
